    The Strangest Secret

    The Strangest Secret was recorded by Earl Nightingale in 1956. It was the first spoken record (remember vinyl?) to sell a million copies.

    When I started in the insurance business, it was part of the training program, and it had a tremendous impact on a generation of salespeople in many industries.

    Nightingale had been searching for years for the secret to success. One day he picked up a copy of "Think and Grow Rich." He saw the six words that changed his life; we become what we think. One more time, we become what we think.

    It is neither strange nor a secret, but those words hold the key to success or failure. The thoughts we carry in our minds and focus on become our future.

    We must control our thinking. It's a law that can lead you to a life of success, wealth, and happiness, or a life of failure.

    What do top salespeople or top performers think about? They think about their goals and the activities necessary to achieve those goals, including continuous self-improvement.

    Do you want to change your life? It’s simple. Change your thoughts. Focus on what you want, not on what you don’t want.
