SureBridge's new supplemental products are almost here! HospitalWise™ and the CI Wise™ Suite, which includes CancerWise® Plus and HeartWise™, will be ready for you to start selling this Friday.

HospitalWise - CA, DC, DE, NM, ND, SC, WV

  • CA - Available only through age 64. Not available to seniors (age 65+)
  • CA - No Ambulance Rider
  • CA - Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) is required to purchase HospitalWise
  • DC - Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) is required to purchase HospitalWise
  • ND - Skilled Nursing Facility Rider has No Elimination Period

CancerWise Plus - DC, DE, MD, MN, NM, ND, OH, SD, WV

  • DC - Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) is required to purchase HospitalWise
  • MD - No Wellness Rider
  • OH - Applicants under age 64 (including dependent children) are not allowed on senior applications. Must apply separately
  • OH - No Wellness Rider
  • SD - Guaranteed Issue (GI) benefits are not allowed. Therefore, $5k and $10k Guaranteed Issue (GI) options are not available to non-seniors

HeartWise - DC, DE, MD, MN, NM, ND, OH, SD, WV

  • DC - Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) is required to purchase HospitalWise
  • MD - No Wellness Rider
  • OH - Applicants under age 64 (including dependent children) are not allowed on senior applications. Must apply separately
  • OH - No Wellness Rider
  • SD - Guaranteed Issue (GI) benefits are not allowed. Therefore, $5k and $10k Guaranteed Issue (GI) options are not available to non-seniors

Important Point of Sale (POS) Tool Impacts
Updates to the SureBridge Point of Sale Tool will begin around 7 p.m. CST ThursdayFebruary 21, which could cause the system to be temporarily unavailable. Email Proposals sent prior to Friday (2/22) will not be able to “Apply” for the new application after Thursday (2/21). If the application is not started by the customer before 2/21, a new Proposal must be created.

If an applicant is interested in the CancerWise, Critical Illness Direct, or Hospital Confinement Direct before they are discontinued, the application must be started prior to 7 p.m. CST on Thursday, 2/21 and submitted within the normal 30-day window.

With the release of the new SureBridge products and new application, the following updates will be made to the POS Tool.

  • PPO Dental Basic & Premiere can now be sold together!
  • Beneficiary designation is now required (except for Dental & Vision).
  • The Product and Summary Information Form has a new requirement.

Additional Point of Sale (POS) Tool Changes
Medical Authorization no longer required and Phone Enrollment now available:

  • The Medical Authorization (Med Auth) will no longer be required when applying for Fixed Indemnity Direct or Metal Gap plans.
  • With this update, the Phone Enrollment with Voice or Email/Text Signature option is now available when applying for these plans.

Mobile number not required when applying via Phone Enrollment with Voice Signature:

  • A contact number will still be required when applying via Phone Enrollment with Voice Signature.
  • A mobile number will still be required when applying via all other Enrollment and Signature Methods.

New feature for agents quoting/applying for their own supplemental coverage: A confirmation check box has been added for the agent to indicate when the quote/application is for his or her own personal supplemental coverage. This is to be checked only when the application is for the agent.
