Federal officials are reporting that 6.3 million additional individuals have been found eligible for Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program between October and December of 2013, largely thanks to expanded
eligibility in a number of states.
Other highlights include:
- Connecticut's governor announces proposed fixes to the state's mental health system.
- New Jersey's governor vetoed a number of health care bills in 2013, but a breast cancer screening bill was the exception.
- New Mexico's legislative short session is expected to take on health care price transparency, pharmaceutical pricing and other health bills.
