Shakespeare and Life

Do you accept responsibility for your life and actions? Or do you blame others?

I was thinking of Shakespeare and his famous quote from Julius Caesar, "The fault is not in our stars, dear Brutus, but in ourselves."

Many people today want to blame someone else for their life and circumstances. They blame luck, government, company, spouse, economy, etc. It is always someone else's fault.

Some of the best advice I ever received is that we are responsible for ourselves. When you accept responsibility, you feel strong, powerful, and purposeful. Accepting responsibility eliminates the negative emotions that kill your happiness.

Bottom line, we make our own luck. Thomas Jefferson said, "The harder I work, the luckier I get." We make our own luck. If you are not happy with your life, you have the power to change.

That's an empowering thought.

Are you ready to become lucky?
