There’s a story about a lion and gazelle. It applies perfectly to what we do, especially those of us who sell insurance.
Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up. He says I must run faster than the fastest lion, or I will be eaten.
Also, every morning, a lion wakes up thinking a similar thought. I must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or I will starve to death.
The moral for us?
It doesn’t matter whether you are a lion or a gazelle. When the sun comes up, you better be off and running.
