Update: Cigna Announcement regarding Orlando Health Network In Florida

UPDATE: Orlando Health will remain in Cigna's Medicare Advantage network in Florida!

After productive negotiations with Orlando Health in Florida, Cigna is happy to announce that they will remain in their Medicare Advantage network! This includes all Primary Care Physicians (PCPs), specialists, ancillary providers, and the hospital system.

With the contractual agreement reached, there will be no disruption in access to services with Orlando Health. Customers can continue to use their Orlando Health providers.

Recorded outbound calls are currently being made to customers to inform them that Orlando Health remains in network and that no action is needed at this time. All Orlando Health PCP assignments remain unchanged.

Cigna Healthcare Medicare is currently in the midst of negotiations with Orlando Health in Florida regarding their contractual agreement. The importance of this negotiation lies in Cigna's desire to continue its longstanding and positive relationship with Orlando Health, with the ultimate goal of keeping Orlando Health as a part of its network.

If both parties cannot reach a mutually beneficial agreement, Orlando Health is set to withdraw from Cigna's expansive network, and this change is scheduled to take effect from the 1st of March in 2024.

Clients who are impacted by this transition can expect to receive a detailed notification letter in the coming days. In the unfortunate event of the termination of the agreement, these clients will be automatically assigned a new Primary Care Provider, and all pertinent information about their new Primary Care Provider will be provided in the notification letter.

For clients who wish to have more control over this transition, there is an option to contact Cigna Healthcare Medicare customer service at 1-800-668-3813 is available. They can use this opportunity to choose a different in-network Primary Care Provider or address any questions they might have about the upcoming changes.
