Mississippi Legislature recently passed House Bill 1350 to change the Telephone Solicitation Act and the Insurance Code. Agents in MS are not longer permitted to initiate phone calls for the sale of Medicare Supplement.

You can now begin ordering your 2025 Medicare Advantage (MA) and Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) sales materials on from Cigna Healthcare via CustomPoint. The ordering window for 2025 materials will be from July 15 to August 30. If you do not order during this time, you cannot order kits again until after October 1, 2024.

The Covered California Outreach and Sales Team hosted a series of Special Enrollment Period workshops across the state in April. Recordings of the workshop and several toolkits have recently been made available to agents to assist them in helping clients find coverage during this Special Enrollment Period.

Understanding  Redetermination and Dual Eligible Beneficiaries 

In the past four years, enrollment in Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans (D-SNPs) has doubled to more than five million individuals. The D-SNPs are meant to meet the needs of people who are eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid. 

D-SNPs are one of several plans within the Medicare Advantage program comprise the largest category both in enrollment and the number of plans offered. Due to the nature of D-SNPs, there are challenges for members, and their agents as well.
